Monday

The student will be quiet. The teacher will have visitors come in the classroom to allow the children to think she is being preoccupied. By doing so the teacher is making sure that the students remain quiet. The teacher will have the students turn their light if they are talking at any moments when they should not be.

 

Tuesday

The students will remain in their seat. The teacher will ask a general question like “Can somebody hand me a pencil?” When most of the students get up without permission, the teacher will reward the students that remained in their seats until being called upon.

 

Wednesday

The students will work on assigned task. The teacher will provide the students with an assignment. The teacher will continue to observe the students to see who is on task and who is not. The teacher will begin to allow the students who remain on task to be her helper and the others have to try harder next time.

 

Thursday

The students will raise their hands. The teacher will again ask a general question like “Can somebody hand me the scissors?” The teacher will only reward the students who raised their hand before getting out of their seat.

Behavior Management Hallway Rules

The students will master the hallway rules. The students will walk in the hall, walk in a line, walk on the right, and walk quietly.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Monday

The students will walk in the hall. The teacher will practice with the students on their way to different destinations by modeling how to correctly perform all hallway rules.

 

Tuesday

The students will walk in a line. The teacher will line the desks up around the room only with enough room for the students to fit in a single file line. We will practice walking in a line to and from destinations.

 

Wednesday

The students will walk on the right side of the hall. The teacher will have the students pick a hall monitor. The monitor is to ensure that the students remain on the right side of the hallway. In order to become the hall monitor the student must know the right side from the left side. The hall monitor will lead the line all day followed by the other students. The students will walk in the hall with their right arm raised until they are able to prove they know how to walk on the right side.

Behavior Management Cafeteria Rules

Monday

The students will be quiet in the cafeteria line. The teacher will have the students walk with their fingers over their mouths. As fourth graders, this will cause come embarrassment which will help get results faster.

 

Tuesday

The students will walk to the table. The teacher will place a sign on the table to signal to the students the table in which they should sit. The teacher’s monitor will relay any students who were unable to complete the task without talking.

 

Wednesday

The students will talk quietly. The teacher will allow those students who do this to sit with her and enjoy dessert. Other students will be asked to remove their name from the Friday Fun list.

 

Thursday

The students will remain seated. The teacher will practice with red, yellow, and green signs. A red sign means that you remain seated. A yellow sign means that you begin to bring things to a close. A green sign means that you get up and put your tray in the window.

Behavior Management Outdoor Rules

Monday

The students will take part in some activity. The teacher will assign an activity for each student to try while they are outside.

 

Tuesday

The students will learn to take turns. The teacher will set the timer for 5-7 minutes. When the timer sounds the students will move clockwise to the next activity. This helps the students learn that sharing is caring. He or she may actually enjoy something else.

 

Wednesday

The students will learn to be friendly. The teacher will have the students select a buddy. All day they are to make sure that their buddy has everything that he or she needs. If any buddies are being ignored they are to report to the Buddy Master (me). By doing this, I am showing the student that is nice when someone is nice to you and makes sure you are feeling good. It makes you feel good when others feel good.

 

Thursday

The students will line up when it is time. The teacher will have melt down for the last ten minutes. In this time students are asked to talk quietly and get in line. We will continue previous procedures of keeping your finger over your mouth and walking with your right arm up. The students will be timed to determine how fast they are able to get in line as they are asked.

The students will master finishing one task. The teacher will ask that the students make sure they check their answers before turning their paper in. Many students want to rush just to be finished without checking behind themselves. If the student does not check over the assignment they will have to get their paper signed by a parent.

 

Tuesday

The students will meet the criteria. The teacher will assign a heading that should be at the top of every paper before it is to be submitted to the teacher. If the heading is incorrect the student must redo the assignment with the correct heading.

The students will review the rules from week two. The teacher will observe the students through observation with more evaluation on the rules of week two. The students should be walking quietly in a straight line on the right side of the hall to and from all destinations.

 

Wednesday

The students will review the rules from week three. The teacher will observe the students through observation with more evaluation on the rules of week three. The students should be remaining quiet in the cafeteria line, walking to the table, talking quietly at the table, and remaining seated.

 

Thursday

The students will review the rules from week four. The teacher will observe the students through observation with more evaluation on the rules of week four. The students should be taking part in some activity, taking turns, being friendly to others, and lining up when it is time.

 

Friday

The students will review the rules from week five. The teacher will observe the students through observation with more evaluation on the rules of week five. The students should be finishing one task before moving to another and meeting the criteria for each and every assignment.
