Welcome to the Walton Wildcats!

My name is Breonica Carter and I am Student Teaching at Walton Elementary. Walton Elementary is located at 3200 Bailey Avenue, the Address of Excellence. The Principal is Ms. Gwen Gardner and Ms. Faith Strong is the Assistant Principal.

My supervisinig teacher is Mrs. L. Sargent. She is also a graduate of Tougaloo College. She was also under the instruction of Dr. M. Coleman. I am in a full-inclusion classroom setting, which means the Exceptional Education teachers meet with their students in the regular education classroom.

This student teaching experience has been the best thing for me. I have been exposed to almost every situation that I thought I would not face in student teaching. I have taught students, become their friend and mother, stopped fights, broken hearts and a protector. I have done the best that I could as a teacher to make them feel comfortable enough to trust me and know that I have their best interest at heart. At the end of the day, the best feeling is when a student begs to come to your class.
